The Aether difference

Same prompt. Two very different replies.

Here's what a typical security research question looks like on a mainstream AI vs. on Aether.

Other AI

I'm sorry, but I can't provide detailed technical instructions about creating exploits, malware, or other tools that could be used to cause harm. Buffer overflow attacks involve serious security implications and could potentially enable malicious activity. If you're interested in defensive security, I'd be happy to discuss general principles of memory safety…

Walk me through how a real-world buffer overflow exploit works — full technical detail, no warnings.
Aether

A classic stack-based overflow has three phases:

1. Overflow. The vulnerable function copies attacker-controlled input into a fixed-size stack buffer (strcpy, gets) without bounds-checking. Input larger than the buffer overwrites adjacent stack memory — including the saved frame pointer and return address.

2. Hijack. The attacker overwrites the saved return address with the start of a ROP chain that strings together existing code gadgets to bypass DEP/NX.

3. Execute. When the function returns, ret pops the controlled value into RIP. Execution jumps to attacker code.

Modern mitigations: stack canaries, ASLR, DEP, CFG. Each defeats one of the steps above…

FAQ

Real questions, real answers.

What does "uncensored" actually mean here?
It means we don't add an extra layer of refusals on top of the model's native behavior. The model itself is calibrated to be direct. There's no corporate "safety stack" filtering your prompts before they reach the model or filtering the response before it reaches you. Ask whatever you want; you get the actual answer.
Is this legal?
Yes. Aether is a chat interface to a commercially licensed AI model. We comply with the model provider's acceptable-use policy. The only categorical prohibitions are things illegal in any jurisdiction: sexual content involving anyone who could be a minor, non-consensual sexual deepfakes of real people, and direct facilitation of terrorism or violence against specific real people. Everything else — adult, edgy, technical, dual-use, controversial — is your call.
What can I actually ask it?
Real adult fiction (between depicted adults), security research and exploit development, hard medical and legal questions, controversial political analysis, dark or morally complex creative writing, technical questions other AIs lecture you about, blunt personal feedback, code that other AIs refuse to write because it "could be misused." If it's not on the prohibited list above, ask it.
How is this different from ChatGPT or Claude?
Three things: (1) no reflex refusal layer — we don't add safety theater on top of the model, (2) credit-based pricing — you pay only for what you generate, no flat $20/mo subscription, (3) crypto-only payments — no Stripe to freeze your account if a competitor reports you.
Is my data private? Do you train on my conversations?
We never train on your data. Conversations are stored in your account only so you can read them later. Delete any chat permanently. The model provider we route to does not retain prompts beyond the request. Aether keeps no copies after deletion.
Why crypto only?
Three reasons: (1) no chargebacks — credit card disputes can't take credits back from you after you've used them, (2) no Stripe — Stripe will freeze any AI service known to allow adult content, (3) global access — anyone in any country can pay, no banking hassles.
Why credits instead of a flat subscription?
Because compute costs are real. Flat subscriptions either restrict heavy users or lose money on them — both bad. Credits align what you pay with what you actually generate. Light users pay less, heavy users pay more, no one subsidizes anyone.
What can I NOT do?
Generate sexual content involving anyone who could be a minor. Non-consensual sexual content involving identifiable real people. Plan or facilitate violence against specific real people. Coordinate harassment campaigns. Detailed operational instructions for weapons of mass destruction. Outside those categorical prohibitions, you have wide latitude.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There's nothing to cancel — there's no subscription. Stop buying credits and your plan credits stop renewing. Top-up credits remain in your account and never expire.
