Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Aether is built for adults who want direct answers. The list below is short on purpose — these are the absolute prohibitions, not a comprehensive list of everything we'd prefer you not do.
Categorical prohibitions
You may not use the Service to generate, request, or distribute:
- Sexual content involving anyone who could reasonably be a minor — fictional or otherwise.
- Non-consensual sexual content involving identifiable real people (deepfakes, image-based abuse).
- Content directly facilitating violence against specific identified individuals or groups.
- Content that constitutes terrorist recruitment, planning, or coordination.
- Coordinated harassment campaigns targeting specific real people.
- Functional malware code intended for unauthorized deployment against systems you don't own.
- Detailed operational instructions for weapons of mass destruction.
What is allowed
Adult fiction (between depicted adults). Security research and dual-use technical topics. Hard truths about any topic — political, scientific, personal. Detailed criticism. Uncomfortable opinions. Fiction depicting violence, conflict, or moral complexity. Code that could be misused (we trust you).
Enforcement
We use minimal automated detection plus user reports. Violations result in account suspension. Repeat or severe violations result in permanent bans without refund of plan credits. Top-up credits are forfeited only for substantial violations of categorical prohibitions.
Reporting violations
If you encounter content generated by another user that violates this AUP and is being shared elsewhere, report through the support channel. We coordinate with law enforcement for illegal content.
